Semestre 4
Complex analysis plays a fundamental role in the training of physics students, as it provides powerful mathematical tools for modeling and solving a wide range of physical problems. Many concepts in theoretical physics—such as electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics, and signal processing—rely heavily on complex functions and contour integration techniques. In particular, methods based on residues and complex integrals allow the evaluation of real integrals and the solution of differential equations that arise naturally in physical applications. Therefore, mastering this subject enables students to better understand advanced physical theories and to develop efficient analytical and computational approaches.
